Luke 23:32 – 34     Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing.”  And they divided up his clothes by casting lots.

How many times have you felt so angry towards another person?  Or hurt? Saddened…too many to count… Do you choose to hold a grudge or remain resentful towards the individual(s)?  Why do we do that?  Because it’s hard sometimes to break free from the chain.  But, boy, once you do, based on experience, a weight is lifted, you can be set free and relationships may develop into something stronger than they were before.

My chiropractor said at an appointment (don’t remember the context) to just ‘Do the frozen, and let it go!’

It sometimes is definitely easier said than done.  And, that’s o.k.  Take your time, if need be.  Let’s keep mind what we have to gain when we forgive others…maybe this will encourage you:

  • power
  • grace
  • freedom

And, remember, how many times Papa and one of His kids (Jesus) has forgiven us and continues to.  Shouldn’t we ‘pay it forward’ and do the same for our ‘brothers’ and ‘sisters’?…Just sayin’.

“Lord Jesus Christ, through Your grace and power as You dwell in me, help me to forgive, that Your love will set me free.”

Oh, yeah, baby.  Forgive, sil-lee.

Free your mind, and the rest will follow (lol),

Lisa
