Luke 5:12 – 16 Jesus reached out his hand and touched the man.
After reading the story in the book Our Daily Bread, I felt, embarrassingly enough, a little ashamed, because in this story, a woman in her 70’s reaches out her hand to help a man on the Canadian Metro, whom was talking loudly and not using the best choice of wordage. And, my first thought was, ‘wow, that wouldn’t be me! but, bless her’, but, now…after reading this and now pondering, maybe, just maybe, I could do this, I would do this. I should do this.
Do you think Papa speaks loud and clear to us, when healing opportunities present themselves?
What about the magic in hugs? Kisses? A pat on the back…the energy passed on to the other person is quite healing. So, I think Papa speaks loud and clear to us, otherwise, we wouldn’t give those hugs, kisses and pats…now, would we?! 😛
“Father in heaven, please help us to see ourselves and one another in that desperate man-and in the merciful eyes of Your Son who reached out and touched him.”
Let’s lend our helping hand. It’s a healing hand.
