Sometimes the most absurd things happen in our lives, causing us to take a step back and say, “What was that?!” They take us for a twirl, for sure. And, the ride isn’t always enjoyable, either. But, we’re on the ride (so to speak), and, we can’t get off…what do we do? Get angry and bicker the entire time (and, achem), expect different results? We have to “stay on” or we’ll get really hurt! ;P But, seriously, we only can do what is in our control…so, instead! let’s hold on tight for dear life, taking in the fresh air and laughing the whole way. We know “the twirl” will come to an end, and, we’ll be back to breathing more naturally, feeling more at ease. 🙂
It just makes more sense to keep trusting in Papa. As hard as it gets sometimes because some situations end in hurt, the worry can go away because everything is the way it’s supposed to be. Papa has another plan for us. Even though, in the present, our lives may be muddled, unclear, maybe even a little unglued.
But, I’m a firm believer in time, and, that it heals wounds…situations in our lives, as crazy as they may get, start to make more sense. We get more clarity, and, eventually, we’re able to sit back and say, “Ohhh, Papa. This is why that happened, or, why those things happened. Thank you!” (as ironic as that sounds)
There are always lessons to be learned from these “events” in our lives: maybe we should think things through a little bit more before we act, because of the repercussions that can follow from our poor choices. Or, maybe, what happened will “wake up” those involved and they’ll all start reflecting upon their choices and strengthen the relationships that really ought to be cherished, NOT to darken their spirits!
So, what are we going to do when life throws us lemons? Will we
get revenge? Or, will we be gracious because our hearts have confidence in the Lord?
Something to think about,
Lisa
P.S.
I apologize for not getting this out yesterday. My husband and I had a night away, and, when we came home we got ready to head south…back to our home. Stay tuned for some pictures coming from our North Carolina adventures! Love you, lots!

“Dear Father, give us the faith to trust You today and the ability to see Your hand of good along our road of life.”
Have a safe trip back!
