Oh, we have all been there…a lot of pain and suffering…emotionally, psychologically, physically…you name it, we’ve experienced it, at least at one point in our lives. And, I betcha, we’ve all been there many times! And, will continue to…
And, while it is hard to make sense of it all, at times, there really is a personal purpose when we are going through troubled moments in our lives. And, the real reason is to connect with and help others around us during their time(s) of need. Naturally, we’ll seek our own healing, as well. God is gooood!
It is the connections we have with others that can truly be the key to healing. It can get us “out of our own heads”. This, then, will result in a strength we didn’t even know we had. Connecting can be a conversation or a few words of encouragement; a tight, twenty second hug; a beautiful bouquet of flowers sent or delivered. It brings us comfort to know we have been there for someone else.
These warming thoughts for another will then lead to happy thoughts about our own personal healing, of any kind.
We really are capable of miracles. Take a moment to think about a time you have been a witness to or heard about a miracle happening to someone. Maybe a miracle happened for yourself. Did these miracles occur without any love or support from another person(s)? I bet the answer is a big fat “no!”. It was Papa that led us and/or others to be there or send simple, but mighty, healing thoughts to that person(s).
So, here is to getting out of our own heads when we are experiencing our own suffering, getting the loving, supportive power from our awesome Papa and, letting the healing unravel right before our eyes. Amen!
Love, your friend,
Lisa
“Lord, help me to keep trusting in You in the midst of trouble, knowing that I can tap Your unlimited comfort and share it with others.”
2 Corinthians 1:3 – 7 Papa comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God.
